Roadies Karm Ya Kaand was the 19th season of MTV Roadies and one of the most talked-about chapters of the reality show. Hosted by Sonu Sood, the season brought together Gang Leaders Prince Narula, Gautam Gulati and Rhea Chakraborty, along with 30 contestants competing through tasks, vote-outs, gang changes and unexpected twists.

The season premiered on June 3, 2023, and concluded with its grand finale on October 15, 2023. Vashu Jain emerged as the Roadies Karm Ya Kaand winner, defeating fellow finalists Prakram Dandona and Siwet Tomar.

But Karm Ya Kaand wasn’t remembered only for its winner. The season produced contestants who remain popular among Roadies fans, dramatic gang swaps, clashes between Gang Leaders and a finale journey through the mountains.

Here’s a complete look back at MTV Roadies Karm Ya Kaand, including its winner, contestants, Gang Leaders, format, finalists and what made Season 19 memorable.

Roadies Karm Ya Kaand – Quick Facts

The journey took the top 30 Roadies through Kurukshetra, Patiala, Chail, Kullu and Sissu before heading towards Kaza, combining physical tasks with alliances, strategy and the familiar Roadies vote-out game.

Who Won Roadies Karm Ya Kaand?

Vashu Jain won MTV Roadies Karm Ya Kaand (Season 19).

Vashu entered the finale alongside Prakram Dandona and Siwet Tomar and ultimately emerged as the season’s winner in Kaza.

His victory was particularly interesting because he didn’t finish the competition under the Gang Leader with whom he had started.

Vashu originally belonged to Prince Narula’s gang. Following a major gang-swap twist, however, he became part of Rhea Chakraborty’s gang.

He eventually won the title representing Gang Rhea, giving Rhea a victory during her debut season as a Roadies Gang Leader.

Vashu also received ₹5 lakh as part of his victory.

Roadies Karm Ya Kaand Winner – Vashu Jain

Vashu Jain came from Bilaspur and immediately attracted attention during the Roadies selection process because of his physical abilities.

His strength became one of his defining characteristics throughout the season.

But his journey wasn’t straightforward.

Vashu started in Gang Prince and later found himself moved to Gang Rhea. He subsequently admitted that he was initially disappointed by the change because he had wanted to remain with Prince.

Over time, however, his relationship with Rhea developed. After winning, Vashu credited both Prince and Rhea for playing important roles in his Roadies journey.

That gang swap ultimately produced an unusual Roadies storyline:

Prince selected him → gang swap moved him → Rhea guided him → Vashu won Roadies.

Who Was the Runner-Up of Roadies Karm Ya Kaand?

The final three contestants were:

Vashu Jain – Gang Rhea
Prakram Dandona – Gang Gautam
Siwet Tomar – Gang Prince

This meant that each of the three Gang Leaders had representation in the final battle.

Vashu ultimately won the competition, while Siwet Tomar finished as the first runner-up.

The finale therefore became a genuine three-way Gang Leader battle:

Rhea vs Gautam vs Prince.

And Gang Rhea came out on top.

Roadies Karm Ya Kaand Gang Leaders

Season 19 featured three Gang Leaders:

Prince Narula

Prince Narula was already deeply associated with Roadies before Karm Ya Kaand.

He originally won MTV Roadies X2 as a contestant before eventually returning to the franchise as a Gang Leader.

His competitive personality and experience once again became an important part of Season 19.

Gautam Gulati

Gautam Gulati joined Roadies as a Gang Leader for Karm Ya Kaand.

His arrival introduced a fresh personality into the Gang Leader dynamic, and his clashes with Prince became one of the season’s major talking points.

Rhea Chakraborty

Rhea Chakraborty also made her debut as a Roadies Gang Leader during Season 19.

Her first season ultimately ended with the biggest possible result: a contestant from Gang Rhea won Roadies Karm Ya Kaand.

Roadies has since changed its leadership structure considerably. The upcoming Roadies Rebirth Season 21 features six Gang Leaders divided into OGs and NewGs.

You can see the new lineup in our Roadies Rebirth Judges & Gang Leaders 2026 guide.

Who Hosted Roadies Karm Ya Kaand?

Sonu Sood hosted MTV Roadies Karm Ya Kaand.

He oversaw the Roadies journey, introduced tasks and twists, and managed the increasingly complicated relationships between contestants and Gang Leaders.

Season 19’s finale coverage also highlighted Sonu’s role as host when Vashu Jain eventually lifted the trophy.

The franchise has since changed again.

Rannvijay Singha is returning as host for Roadies Rebirth Season 21, bringing one of the personalities most closely associated with Roadies back to the centre of the show.

Roadies Karm Ya Kaand Contestants

After weeks of selection, 30 contestants were chosen for the Roadies journey, with ten Roadies initially placed in each of the three gangs.

The contestants came from varied backgrounds including fitness, dance, modelling, social media, athletics and other fields.

Several names went on to become particularly prominent during or after the season, including:

Vashu Jain
Siwet Tomar
Prakram Dandona
Rishabh Jaiswal
Digvijay Singh Rathee
Sachin Sharma
Akriti Negi
Bhoomika Vasishth
Piyu Sharma
Rajveer Dey
Aashika Surve
Himanshu Arora

Some contestants later became known to audiences well beyond Roadies.

One of those names was Rajveer Dey.

Rajveer Dey in Roadies Karm Ya Kaand

Rajveer Dey was a contestant on Roadies Karm Ya Kaand and initially became part of Gautam Gulati’s gang.

Rajveer’s Roadies story was actually several years in the making.

He had previously attempted to get into Roadies during the Roadies Xtreme era but wasn’t selected. He eventually returned and successfully earned a place in Season 19.

Then came the gang swap.

Rajveer was among the contestants who moved into Gang Rhea when Sonu Sood introduced the major reshuffling twist.

Rajveer has recently returned to public attention after entering Bigg Boss Bangla 2026, which has also renewed interest in his earlier Roadies appearance.

We’ve covered his story separately in our complete Rajveer Dey Roadies audition, journey and gang profile.

What Was Different About Roadies Karm Ya Kaand?

One of Season 19’s defining elements was the increased emphasis on Roadiums.

Roadiums functioned as a form of in-show currency that Gang Leaders could strategically use during selections and other stages of the competition.

This gave the selection process an auction-like element.

A contestant wasn’t simply selected.

Gang Leaders could compete over contestants they wanted, adding another layer of strategy before the Roadies journey had even properly begun.

The season then continued disrupting the gangs after the journey started.

And the biggest disruption came with the gang swap.

The Roadies Karm Ya Kaand Gang Swap

One of the season’s biggest twists effectively broke apart existing gang combinations.

Roadies were redistributed, forcing contestants to adapt to new Gang Leaders, teammates and alliances.

Following the reshuffle, Gang Rhea included Rishabh, Tanu, Pallavi, Abhirup, Rajveer, Shayan and Vashu, while Gang Gautam and Gang Prince also received changed lineups.

The consequences were significant.

Gautam Gulati openly expressed disappointment with how the reshuffle affected his original team, while the newly created combinations changed relationships across the competition.

More importantly, the eventual winner was affected directly.

Vashu went from Gang Prince to Gang Rhea.

He then won the entire season.

Without the gang-swap twist, the story of Karm Ya Kaand could have looked very different.

Prince Narula vs Gautam Gulati

Contestant rivalries weren’t the only source of drama in Roadies Karm Ya Kaand.

The relationship between Prince Narula and Gautam Gulati frequently attracted attention.

Their different approaches to the competition produced disagreements and heated moments throughout the season.

Even contestants later discussed what it was like witnessing those confrontations from inside Roadies.

The tensions between Gang Leaders became part of the larger Karm Ya Kaand narrative, adding another competitive layer beyond what was happening between contestants.

Prince Narula vs Rhea Chakraborty

Prince also had heated disagreements with Rhea.

One notable late-season confrontation followed a task result Prince considered unfair. The disagreement escalated to the point that Sonu Sood intervened and defended the fairness of the process, while Prince told members of his gang not to participate before the situation moved forward.

These Gang Leader conflicts made Season 19 particularly unpredictable.

Contestants weren’t merely navigating their own rivalries.

They were competing inside a game where their Gang Leaders were intensely invested too.

Roadies Karm Ya Kaand Eliminations

As with every Roadies season, contestants gradually left the competition through tasks and vote-outs.

The eliminations became especially brutal as the finale approached.

In one of the final stages, four contestants were eliminated ahead of the finale, dramatically reducing the remaining field.

Prakram became the first finalist, while the remaining contestants continued battling for their place in the final.

Eventually, the final three became:

Vashu Jain
Prakram Dandona
Siwet Tomar

That set up the final showdown in Kaza.

Roadies Karm Ya Kaand Finale

The Roadies Karm Ya Kaand grand finale aired on October 15, 2023.

The final task took place against the dramatic backdrop of Kaza and tested the contestants across multiple stages.

Former contestants were also involved in helping the finalists during parts of the challenge.

The final three represented all three gangs:

Vashu ultimately completed the challenge successfully and became the Roadies Karm Ya Kaand winner.

For Rhea Chakraborty, it meant winning Roadies during her very first season as a Gang Leader.

Why Is Roadies Karm Ya Kaand Still Being Searched?

Roadies seasons frequently develop a second life after they finish.

Viewers discover contestants through other reality shows, Instagram, YouTube and entertainment news and then search for their earlier Roadies journeys.

Karm Ya Kaand has several contestants whose public profiles continued growing after the show.

Rajveer Dey’s recent return to reality television is one example.

There’s also renewed interest in the Roadies franchise itself because Roadies Rebirth Season 21 is approaching, encouraging viewers to revisit older seasons, contestants, Gang Leaders and iconic auditions.

That makes Karm Ya Kaand relevant again even though it originally aired in 2023.

Roadies Karm Ya Kaand vs Roadies Rebirth

Roadies has changed significantly since Season 19.

Season 21 therefore isn’t simply repeating the Karm Ya Kaand formula.

It is introducing a different OGs vs NewGs structure while bringing Rannvijay back as host.

If you’re waiting for the new season, we’re tracking the Roadies Rebirth Season 21 release date here.

Who Will Win Roadies Season 21?

Karm Ya Kaand ended with Vashu Jain becoming the ultimate Roadie.

Now attention is moving toward the next generation.

The winner of Roadies Rebirth hasn’t been decided, but we’ve already created a dedicated live page that will track contestants, finalists, the winning camp and eventually the MTV Roadies Season 21 winner as the competition progresses.

That page can be updated throughout Season 21 rather than waiting until finale night.

From Old Roadies Auditions to Roadies Rebirth

Roadies has remained relevant partly because viewers continue rediscovering contestants from different generations.

Long before Karm Ya Kaand, contestants such as Devarshi Patel became memorable because of their auditions rather than simply how far they travelled in the competition.

His unusual interaction with Raghu Ram and Rajiv Laxman remains one of the classic examples from the older Roadies era.

If you’re exploring Roadies history, read our complete story behind the Devarshi Roadies audition.

And if watching those old auditions makes you want to try Roadies yourself, our Roadies Rebirth audition guide covers the new season’s registration, dates, venues and application information.
